About this chapter

A long career.
A new question.

What do I want to make room for now?

I left Microsoft on July 1, 2026, after more than 23 years. I took the retirement package and started what I call my “fake retirement” the next day.

I still need to work, and I still want to build things. My focus now is my own startup, mobile games, and products that help people connect. I’m also trying to enjoy more of my life while I do it.

YetToRetire is where I write about how that goes. You’ll find the work under Work, the rest of the day under Life, and things I find worth sharing Along the way.

I’m an introvert. Writing is where I’m starting, with a few videos as I learn to get comfortable on camera. There’s no publishing schedule to promise yet.

If you’re a few years away from retirement and trying to make this part of life count, we probably have something in common.
